Camps

Primary and Secondary camps are held in June and December of each year.

When students are released from school for breaks between semesters, many return home to dangerous and unstable environments. They are at risk to be involved in violence or are victims of violence themselves. Young girls are especially vulnerable to pressures from older men and besides being emotionally scarred by sexual abuse, could become pregnant which would eliminate any possibility of finishing school.

In order to give youth an alternative activity during school breaks, Faces 4 Hope runs camps to help build character, continued education through tutoring, and healthy relationships in the rising generation. Depending on the length of the school break, camps can last a couple days or a couple weeks. Funding given to support the camps provide food and water for the children as well as equipment for games and educational activities.
